A Conversation Between
Cheryl Knott and Rita Rich
Cheryl Knott was born in 1959 with a physical disability that affects how she walks. Her life became dramatically different form other children - and adults. Cheryl's story is one of growing up in a world hesitant to make room for people like her.
Rita Rich is a podcaster and instructor at The Arc of Southern Maryland. Her podcast, See Me. See My Ability, is produced in collaboration with The Arc.
This program was recorded on September 16, 2025 at the St. Mary's County Library in Lexington Park.
The Stories From St. Mary's County series of videos aims to capture and make available to all the recollections and experiences of people who live and work in the most extraordinary county in Maryland. If you have a story that's worth telling, please contact us.
